| People often ask me how I can love living in Northern New Mexico when I grew up near the sea. There is a sense of space and peace here that equals looking at the ocean's horizon. I am still drawn to water, and this scene captures some of my favorite qualities to paint: soft red and gold mesas, the incredible blue sky, and running water. This mesa overlooks the El Rito River in Abiquiu. |
