Fall, with all its shades of gold, wheat, and yellow against New Mexico's brilliant blue sky, is one of my favorite subjects to paint. I look forward each year to trecking up into the mountains, wondering how I will ever be able to capture the magical play of light and color, the feel of cool mountain air. Some of the magic flows into me as I paint, and there it is, a moment held in time to share with others of these places I love.
